"Congressman Stupak, you baby-killing mother f***er... I hope you bleed out your a**, got cancer and die, you mother f***er," one man says in a message to Stupak.
"There are millions of people across the country who wish you ill," a woman says in a voicemail, "and all of those thoughts that are projected on you will materialize into something that's not very good for you."
CBS News also obtained copies of faxes sent to Stupak, which include racial epithets used in reference to President Obama and show pictures of nooses with Stupak's name.
Stupak, the Michigan Democrat whose last-minute compromise on abortion guaranteed passage of the bill Sunday, said callers have left messages for him saying, “You’re dead; we know where you live; we’ll get you.”Real comparable, huh?

Exactly. Where are the death threats from the left? Where are the cut gas lines, the posted addresses, the crosshairs superimposed on people's pictures or locations? Do the people at crisis pregnancy centers have to wear bulletproof vests to work?
The reason they feel they can say "there are extremists on both sides" is that they have skewed people's sense of perspective to the point that gay marriage and expanded health care access can be compared to death threats with a straight face. The guy who flew an airplane into a tax office was "angry" and "driven over the edge," while two men getting married is "an assault on our faith and our way of life" and "destruction of the family."
They create "radicals on both sides" by raising their bar and lowering ours.
